Locomotives and wagons

Over the years, the Museum Railway has built up a unique collection of steam locomotives, diesel locomotives and carriages from the period 1869 – 1935, mainly from Danish private railways. Mention should be made of one of Denmark's oldest operational steam locomotives KIØGE (Krauss 761/1879) and our newest steam locomotive LJ no. 19 (Henschel 17887/1920). Likewise, the world's oldest diesel locomotive LJ M no. 1 (DEVA 16/1921).

The carts
The carriages from the period 1869 to 1917 contain many exciting details, and they are all different. There are passenger carriages with fine 1st class compartments with plush sofas, and there are 3rd class compartments with shiny wooden seats. The parcel carriage transports goods – in general, the old operating method has been preserved.
