          What is the Museum Railway?

Museumsbanen Maribo-Bandholm is an association that operates a vintage railway. The primary activity is the operation of vintage trains, and the association has 2 steam locomotives, 5 diesel locomotives and approximately 20 passenger and freight cars from the beginning of the 20th century at its disposal for operation. The association also owns the listed Bandholm station from 1869 and a couple of buildings for storing vehicles. Finally, the association maintains tracks and associated fixed facilities.
The association currently has approximately 60 active members who, on a voluntary and unpaid basis, take care of driving, maintenance and administration. Together, the members have quite a lot of knowledge about vintage trains, and new members are trained for the various tasks.
The Museum Railway started operating with Denmark's first vintage train in 1962.
