Welcome to the Maribo-Bandholm Museum Railway
We are working to recreate a time when people sat on wooden benches on the train, where the stationmaster was one of the leaders of society and the train driver was the idol of many children.
With us you not only get a journey through the beautiful Lolland landscape, but also a nostalgic journey back to the time around 1920.
Generations can come together in a shared experience of what it was like to travel in the old days.
The museum railway is run by a group of volunteer enthusiasts for whom maintaining the operation of the vintage railway on the stretch between Maribo and Bandholm is a passion.

The season is NOT over......
Even though the calendar says August, the season is not over, there is still the opportunity to take a nostalgic break from everyday life aboard the Museum Railway's beautiful train.
If this is something for you and your loved ones, you have the opportunity to buy tickets here on the website. Or you can show up at platform 2 at Maribo station and buy the tickets directly from the train staff of the day. Remember to check the timetable and see when we run….

We were so lucky to receive this beautiful picture.

She has immortalized Ole, the oldest active member of the Museum Railway, and the children
on the platform at Bandholm station.
Ole is 90 years old and belongs to a generation where kindness and care for passengers was a given. Both young and old can benefit from this today when Ole is on the duty roster.
If you're lucky, you can meet Ole several times during the season and always get a well-written account of the Museum Railway and railways in general.
